LED Pumpkin Lights
An LED light is better than a candle in a carved pumpkin. It gives off no heat, so the lid does not cook and the pumpkin dries out more slowly. It does not blow out in wind and it lasts all night. It is still an electrical product, so follow the maker's instructions and do not leave any light running with nobody home.

- Yes. No heat, so the lid does not cook and the pumpkin lasts longer. No wind to blow them out. Battery LED lights eliminate the open flame, but follow manufacturer instructions and switch them off when nobody is home.
- How bright should a pumpkin light be?
- A single puck light or two tea lights is enough for a carved face. Etched designs need more light, so use a brighter puck or a small string of lights inside.
- Do flickering LEDs look like a real candle?
- From the street, yes. Up close you can tell, but nobody stands up close.
- How long do battery pumpkin lights last?
- Most tea lights run 24 to 48 hours on one battery. Puck lights with a timer run six hours a night for a week or more.
